My only comment is VMware goes so far as selling and promoting their product, but there is no individual person who can use his personal login and then learn or practice anything like Microsoft allows. SO you are stuck being a VMware admin, but cant go ahead and learn new vSphere products and the like, you are at the mercy of the company you work for.
